Dressing seams with a router

Always after that perfect seam. we get out of plum seam cuts once in awhile from the bridge saw. I have been thinking about using our router and (http://maplered.com) a fine strait Z bit to clean up the seam. I would have to make a plate for the router to ride on so the Z bit bearing has a stop. any one out there doing this ? apart from a CNC how do you dress your seams ?
